The Canadian Haflinger Association was incorporated in 1981, shortly after the first import of Haflingers into Canada in the 1970's. Animals are registered with the Canadian Livestock Records Corporation and the rules of the Canadian Haflinger Association's By-Laws are backed up by the Animal Pedigree Act and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. The Association is guided by an elected board of directors, recognized by the World Haflinger Federation, and accepted world wide.
The Canadian Haflinger Association promotes these wonderful horses. by producing and distributing a quarterly newsletter, the "Chatter",. This newsletter contains facts, upcoming shows and events and information as well as articles and stories submitted by our members from right across Canada. An annual meeting, and picnic is organized.. We produce pamphlets and brochures for distribution at shows and displays. We also help our members with marketing their horses, by sending a membership list, list of classified adds, and promotional material to every information request made to our secretary.
As a member of the Canadian Haflinger Association you will benefit from lower registration and transfer fees, from promotion and marketing efforts, and you will be able to help in the running of the association through the election of directors. Consider joining our enthusiastic team of Haflinger admirers!
